He was seen colliding with a tree branch at “The People’s Park” in Waterford City (02/05/26). We rescued the Heron and following a discussion with Kildare Wildlife Rescue we transported the bird into their care for rehabilitation. The Heron made a full recovery following weeks of rehabilitation at the Kildare Wildlife Rescue Centre. We released as close as possible to it’s point of rescue.
